Zen Foto Gallery is pleased to present Kanaria’s painting exhibition “When I’m with You My World is Bountiful” from July 20th to August 4th.

We are all individual beings, but we are not living alone.
Plants, animals, and all people are living together in the nature.
Whether we are conscious of it or not, we interact and interconnect with each other.

We are individuals, and together as a whole.
When I am with you, my world is bountiful.

The exhibition will include 2 pieces of large oil paintings (270x140 cm and 140x140cm), 10 pieces of smaller paintings, a number of pottery works and some transparent watercolor paintings which Kanaria has started working on since last year. An opening reception will be held on July 19th.

Artist Profile

Kanaria

Born in Osaka, 1987, Kanaria graduated from Tama Art University Tokyo in 2011 with a specialization in oil painting. She moved to Paris in 2014 and obtained her postgraduate diploma at Beaux-Arts de Paris in 2017. After participating in the artist residence program at Cité Internationale des Arts, she moved back to Japan in 2020. Kanaria has been actively participating in exhibitions in and out of Japan. Ever since her first solo exhibition at Zen Foto Gallery in August 2011, Kanaria has held solo exhibitions every summer at the gallery. This year marks the 13th time of our collaboration.
